Soup 

 


It's time to start planning for our soup kettle for this year's annual church fair.  If you'd like to make soup for our fair, read below... (Note this year's dates given below to aid your planning.)

Soup Recipe
  1. Start with a quart or two of canned chicken broth.
  2. Add a chicken breast cut into small pieces, and then become creative:

    Add pasta (small) or rice, a can of kidney or other beans, a half bag of frozen mixed vegetables.   Stewed tomatoes add some color and some seasoning.   Throw in sweet basil for good measure.   Additions or substitutions are encouraged.

  3. Simmer until the chicken is done.
  4. Freeze until September 24th.
  5. Unfreeze, reheat and bring to the church in zip lock bags prior to 10 a.m. on Sept. 25th.
    (Please do not bring frozen soup on Fair day as it takes far too long to get ready.)
