We would like to welcome you to our 29th Annual Church Fair, Featuring Fine Arts and Crafts Exhibitors. This year's fair will take place on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the First Church of Christ Congregational in historic Redding Center, Connecticut. Fair hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission and parking are free, making this an affordable family fun day. There will be something to do for everyone!
For the past 28 years, First Church has put its best foot forward to provide our community with an event to welcome in the fall season. We hope to do the same this year. Enjoy a piece of fresh-baked apple pie or a cup of Congregational soup poured out straight from the kettle. Purchase pumpkins, mums, and cornstalks while listening to area bands play familiar tunes. Stroll with your cotton candy or popcorn as you admire the works of more than 40 artisans and take home your favorite pieces. Or sit and relax while you eat a delicious grilled burger, hot dog, or veggie burger served up to order along with a cold drink by our men's group.
We have a whole gated area for children's activities featuring games, face painting, pumpkin painting, and sand art. There will be an afternoon magician show and a morning strolling balloon artist to entertain children of all ages. People love the huge tag sale in our Fellowship Hall as well as the Great Raffle, which has more than 50 offerings along with a silent auction section. Our church quilters have produced another beautiful, handmade quilt, which one lucky winner will take home to keep them warm and beautify their home for years to come.
