Last spring, Jack graduated from Harvard Divinity School with a Master of Divinity. He also earned a license to teach Social Studies through the Program in Religious Studies and Education, which examines appropriate uses for the study of religion in public education in order to cultivate multiculturalism and critical thinking. His thesis was titled "Art, Religion, Education, and Social Transformation."

He has spent numerous summers leading wilderness adventure trips in northern Minnesota with Camp Voyageur. For two summers, he worked at--and still volunteers with--Pilgrim Lodge, the UCC's camp and Conference Center in Maine. In 2010 he worked as a Summer Chaplain Intern at Maine Medical Hospital and spent the Fall semester teaching sixth grade Social Studies. Along with being absurdly over-involved in various extracurricular ministries and hijinks, Jack spent his last year of seminary working as the Ministerial Intern at the historic Old South Church in Boston. He helped run a weekly Jazz Worship Service, led a weekly Bible Study, and ran a thriving Young Adults Group.

You will see Jack here at First Church of Christ helping lead worship, directing the mischief of the High School Youth Group, and leading various adult educational and spiritual endeavors. If you're lucky, you might just catch him playing drums or guitar at one of the special services held throughout the year. Join him Sundays 9:00-9:45am for a Bible Study discussion group entitled "Preaching Together." He also holds weekly open-office hours Thursdays 2:15-4:00pm. Stop by to say hi and grab a cup of tea.
